Day 1: Hanoi arrival – Street food tour
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival to Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, our representative will welcome you before heading straight to your hotel in the heart of the city. The day is at leisure to discover Hanoi on your own, wandering the crooked alleys of the iconic Old Quarter and ready for Hanoi street food tour by night.
When you want to get to know a culture, there’s nothing better to exprerience a dinner tour around the Hanoi Old Quarter to enjoy and feel a real life of local people.
Eat as you go, walking through the maze of bustling streets, trying seasonal fruit and sampling tasty French-inspired snacks from a street cart. Try the famed Hanoi dishes such as Bun Cha Ta (a grilled pork and noodle dish) and Banh Cuon at a local eatery and watch as the skilled chefs demonstrate how this tasty dish is put together.
The next two snack stops are at outdoor BBQ stalls. Sit down with the Hanoi locals and sample various meat, vegetable and bread specialties that are flame grilled over hot coals for extra flavor. It’s now time for dessert!
Your local guide will then take you to one of Hanoi’s best kept secrets – Banh My Hanoi – a hidden street food restaurant where you can taste the top street foods in Hanoi including Vietnamese Rice Wine and the famous Egg Coffee. This hard-to-find café is one of the few left in the narrow street inside the old quarter of Hanoi. Back to the hote for relaxing time. Overnight at the hotel
Day 2: Hanoi culture & history city tour (B)
Today morning, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum an important place of pilgrimage for Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilts, built in the style of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities, surrounded by verdant and peaceful gardens, One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th century. On the way to the Temple of Literature, is the first national university in Vietnam in the country that also functions as a place of prayer, especially for students during exam week. Then head to the Citadel and Flag Tower, a true testament of Vietnam’s strength, resilience, and beauty. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Tran Quoc Pogoda, one of the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi. The pagoda has so many architecture work placed very harmonious, specific for the rule of buddhism architecture. You also admire West lake, the biggest lake in Hanoi from here. Taking a short trip to admire Hoan Kiem lake, Turtle Tower and Ngoc Son temple before enjoying a traditional Water Puppet Show performed after the sunset. Back to your hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Duong Lam Ancient village g (B)
Take a day-trip through the Red River Delta, the cradle of Vietnamese civilization for thousands of years, to Duong Lam, one of Vietnam’s best-preserved villages. On arrival, hop onto a bicycle (or walking) and explore the surrounding countryside. Whizz through farming communities and learn how the locals work the land – which will be different depending on the season – before arriving at Duong Lam, one of Vietnam’s best-preserved villages.
Duong Lam is famous for its preserved, centuries-old houses, and the production of tuong, a kind of fermented bean dipping sauce that you can sample if you’re feeling up for it! Settle down for a picnic lunch in one of the ancient houses before continuing on to the tomb of Ngo Quyen and the temple of Phung Hung, two of Vietnam’s most important historical figures.
On the return to Hanoi, stop by Thay Pagoda, a gorgeous pagoda dedicated to Buddha. Admire the ornate architecture and charming scenery before checking-in to your city hotel. Free your time to explore Hanoi at night. Ovenight at Hotel.
Day 4: Hanoi depature (B)
Savor your last morning in Vietnam with Hanoi atmosphere and enjoy the day at leisure, shopping or relax until your transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for onward travel. We wish you a good flight and hope to welcome you.
