DAY 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL – DRIVE TO VUNG TAU (L, D)
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City – the largest city in Vietnam. Our guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to local Indian Restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we will drive to Vung Tau – a beach city near Ho Chi Minh. It takes 2.5 hours for driving.
On arrival, check in your hotel and take a short rest. In the evening, you will be transferred to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2: VUNG TAU SIGHTSEEINGS (B, L, D)
In the morning: Get pick up at your hotel in Vung Tau and start to visit:
- The unique Statue of Jesus Christ is situated on the top of “Small Mountain”.
- White Palace – the French architecture which used to be the summer house of the last Emperor.
Have lunch at a local Indian Restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue to Ho May tourist park by cable car to enjoy city view and experience impressive moving. Here, you could discover Caribbean pine forest with natural wild features and cherry blossom forest. Besides, the ecosystem is further diversified with wild animals such as peacocks, pheasant, ostrich, deer and boar, ect. Especially; you could see Ho May Lake which is recorded in Vietnam Guinness as unique ecological lake in the mountain top in Vietnam.
Return to the station by cable car and transfer back to the hotel.
Have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: VUNG TAU – HO CHI MINH SIGHTSEEING (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will check out the hotel in Vung Tau and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Have lunch at a local restaurant and go to the hotel to check in.
In the afternoon set out on a tour of the former capital of French Indochina. Historic landmarks include the Old Saigon post office, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House. Continue your tour by visiting the Reunification Palace which was used as the headquarters of the Saigon Government during the American war in the 60s. After that visit the ethnic Chinese district of Cholon.
In the evening, you will be transferred to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Then transfer back to the hotel to overnight.
DAY 4: HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L, D)
This morning we will leave the city by private vehicle to visit the amazing tunnel network of Cu Chi. This incredible system, covering almost 250km in length was shelter to over 16,000 Vietnamese soldier guerrillas during the wars. Initially started in 1948 to provide shelter against the French air and ground sweeps, the network went on to serve as communication routes, storage facilities, hospitals and living quarters for Vietnamese fighters throughout the American war. If you are interested (and game) you can even descend into the tunnels to learn more about the harsh conditions faced by Vietcong guerrillas who lived there. Return to the city center. Have lunch at an Indian restaurant.
In the evening, you will be transferred to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Then transfer back to overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY – SHOPPING TOUR - DEPARTURE (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to Ben Thanh Market – a signature of Ho Chi Minh City. You can then spend some time to walk around and find souvenirs to bring home.
Afterward, we will head to an Indian restaurant for lunch. Then transfer to the airport to take the departure flight.
